Prior to Joining Ayr
Moore began his youth career at Heart of Midlothian and later moved to Motherwell where he spent three years in their youth system before joining the first team and joined Cowdenbeath on loan in January 2013. Moore made his Motherwell debut in the UEFA Europa League as a substitute against Russian side Kuban Krasnodar and made his first league appearance against Hearts and scoring his first goal with his very first touch of the ball and went on to make a total of 30 appearances for The Well over the next two seasons.
Loan Spells at Ayr
Craig Moore initially joined Ayr United on a six month loan from Motherwell in July 2015, although this was later extended until the end of the season. Moore was prolific alongside Jordan Preston in his first season at Somerset Park and was an integral part of Ian McCall's side that went on to be promoted through the play-offs.
After impressing in League 1, Moore joined for another loan spell in the Championship but was concussed in a match against St Mirren and missed most of the season but scored three goals in the 17 games he played that season.
Ayr United
Moore signed a permanent deal for Ayr at the start of the 2017-18 season following relegation back to League 1 but was prolific once again, scoring a total of 28 goals in 40 games in all competitions as Ayr United went on to win the League 1 Championship on the final day against Albion Rovers with Moore scoring the opener.
After another impressive season with club, Moore signed a new deal with Ayr, now back in the Championship and scored his first two goals of the season in a 5-1 win over Greenock Morton at Cappielow and got the winning goal away to Falkirk and at home to Dundee United.
