Match Report
Ayr United remain three points adrift of Dundee United at the top of the Scottish Championship after a frantic second-half against Morton.
Four goals in the first 16 minutes after the break ignited his contest. Bob McHugh added to John Baird's opener for the hosts after Craig Moore and Luke McCowan had put Ayr ahead.
Ayr then earned Mark Kerr a first win as a manager with a curious winner which Craig McGuffie did not seem to know much about as the ball spun off him and into the net.
Ayr United manager Mark Kerr: "It's good to get a win under my belt as manager. I thought we had a slow start but I know we have quality in this side even if we are a little short on numbers."
