Biography

Ayr United are delighted to announce that Gary Naysmith will join the club as Manager on a 3-year contract following the conclusion of Stenhousemuir’s League One playoff campaign.

Gary was nominated by his peers for PFA Scotland Manager of the Year and he joins Ayr United having won Stenhousemuir’s first ever league title and taken the League One championship campaign to the final day this season.

He will be joined by Brown Ferguson as Assistant Manager and will be available for interviews only after his current season has finished.

Their ability to outperform budget is clear not only from their time at Stenhousemuir but also in their previous roles at a variety of clubs in Scotland.

What became clear through the interview process was Gary’s enthusiasm to be involved with Ayr United and the skillset he has to take our club forward. We are looking forward to working with him and to introduce him to supporters at the end of Stenny’s season.
