Ayr United were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Dunfermline Athletic at Somerset Park on 7 April 2026, with the visitors making a blistering start and never allowing the Honest Men back into the contest. Dunfermline scored inside the opening minute and then added two more after the break to leave Ayr with little reward from their home outing.

Josh Cooper gave Dunfermline the perfect start with a goal after just one minute, setting the tone for a night in which Ayr were immediately on the back foot.
