Biography
John Rankin has been appointed Ayr United interim manager for the rest of the season.
The former Hamilton Academical boss, 42, replaces Scott Brown, who left Somerset Park by mutual consent.
Managing Director, Graeme Mathie, said "‘I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Ayr United when I say a huge thank you to John Rankin for all his input since taking over as Interim Manager in March.
John has an infectious enthusiasm, and he engaged very positively with all players and staff to make the best of a challenging situation at that point in the season, and we are very grateful for his professionalism.
