Match Report
Peterhead remain rooted to the bottom of the Third Division after a defeat at the hands of Ayr.
Third-placed Ayr took the lead after 24 minutes when Alan Trouten latched onto a lofted Paul Willis corner to thump the ball in from just outside the box.
After 68 minutes, Ayr's Michael Moffat slotted home the second of the day.
Peterhead sub Dennis Wyness was brought down inside the box by Ebbie Malone and slotted in the resulting penalty, but it wasn't enough to force a draw.
