Match Report
A Mark Roberts double helped Ayr to victory at East Stirlingshire in the Scottish League Cup first round.
The away side took the lead six minutes from the break when midfielder Alan Trouten fired a 20-yard drive into the net of Shire keeper Kevin Cuthbert.
Ayr doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time, this time Roberts slotting home his first from 12 yards.
Roberts added Ayr's third in the 52nd minute meeting Trouten's centre to score into the bottom-right-corner.
