Match Report
Strikes from Alan Forrest and Craig Moore helped Ayr United beat Brechin City and stay within six points of League One leaders Dunfermline.
Forrest put the hosts ahead with a shot from inside the penalty area.
And Moore netted from six yards to give Ayr a more comfortable advantage before the quarter-hour mark.
Robert Thomson scored from close range for Brechin in stoppage time but it proved only to be consolation for the visitors.
