Match Report
Shane Sutherland scored twice as Peterhead defeated fellow promotion-chasers Ayr United at Balmoor.
Ayr were the better side early on and goalkeeper Graeme Smith denied the bright Craig Moore three times as well as Alan Trouten and Jamie Adams.
But Kevin Dzierzawski rifled a left-footed shot from the edge of the area.
And Sutherland doubled the lead with 10 minutes to go before he headed home James Stevenson's free-kick to wrap up victory against the second-top side.
