Ayr United salvaged a point at Queen of the South but slipped three points behind Championship leaders Ross County after a third straight draw.
Neither of Scotland's two top scorers - Stephen Dobbie or Ayr's Lawrence Shankland - could find the net.
Josh Todd opened the scoring for Queens from Andrew Stirling's assist to bag his sixth goal of the season.
However, Michael Moffat equalised with a header four minutes before half-time for Ayr, who have a game in hand
