Match Report
Queen of the South improved their promotion chances with a controversial win away to fellow Championship play-off hopefuls Ayr United.
Kevin Holt cleared off the line in the closing moments with Ayr claiming for a goal, but the linesman did not flag.
Callum Semple had headed Queens ahead from Faissal El Bakhtaoui's fourth-minute corner.
Stephen Dobbie's penalty extended the lead and Aaron Muirhead's spot kick was not enough for Ayr.
Queens' first win at Somerset Park in four visits means they remain sixth but are now only three points behind their fourth-placed hosts.
Ayr missed a chance to move above Dundee and have now won once in seven games under new manager Mark Kerr.
