Match Report

Dunfermline claimed their third victory in a row with a comfortable win over fellow promotion chasers Ayr.

Ross Forbes gave the home team the lead with a fine strike from distance in the eighth minute.

Later, Forbes' shot hit the post before finding Lawrence Shankland inside the area who scored with a simple tap-in.

The Pars sealed the win through Shankland, again set up by Forbes, but it was a fine finish from the striker for his fifth goal of the season.
