Match Report
Ayr United slipped to second bottom in Scottish League One after being humbled by Airdrieonians.
Bryan Prunty put the hosts ahead early on with a close-range header and doubled the advantage when his left-foot shot found the net.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Paul Slane was sent off for a challenge on Patrick Boyle.
And Kevin McKinlay's own goal completed a frustrating afternoon for the Honest Men.
