Biography
Paul Slane (born 25 November 1991, Glasgow) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a right-sided attacking midfielder/winger. He joined Ayr United in September 2014 from Celtic B, making approximately 12 appearances in the 2014–15 Scottish Championship season under manager Mark Kerr. Slane began his career at Motherwell, debuting at age 16, then joined Celtic in February 2010 for an undisclosed fee. He struggled to break into Celtic’s first team, loaning to MK Dons and Partick Thistle before his release in 2013. After his brief spell at Ayr United, he joined Clyde on loan in February 2015, later playing for Broomhill before moving to the USA to become a football coach.
