Match Report
Two goals in five first-half minutes at Somerset Park meant Ayr and Alloa will meet again in a Scottish Cup replay.
Alloa took the lead after half an hour when Graeme Holmes' cross-field ball found Liam Buchanan, who smashed the ball home from a tight angle.
The lead was short-lived, though, as Ryan Donnelly flicked home a Jon-Paul McGovern corner.
A late chip by Stephen Simmons against the crossbar saw Alloa come close to snatching the win.
