Ayr continued their peerless start to the Scottish League One season with a stunning win at home to Cowdenbeath.
The hosts made a sensational start inside 30 seconds. Cowdenbeath gave the ball away from a Paddy Boyle throw and Jordan Preston pounced to score.
Alan Forrest beat Jamie Sneddon to make it two, then Gerry McLauchlan headed home a fine cross by Brian Gilmour.
Alan Trouten set up Gilmour for a fourth goal and Craig Moore made it five after good play by Ross Caldwell.
