Match Report
Ayr United moved up to second in League One as Dunfermline lost their place at the top of the division to Forfar.
The visitors went ahead midway through the first half when Alan Forrest fired low into the net.
And Jordan Preston doubled their advantage just before the hour mark, pouncing on some poor defending to strike home.
Mickael Antoine-Curier almost halved the deficit for the Pars but could not keep his header down.
