Match Report
Ayr moved into the Second Division play-off spot with a win against Alloa.
Mark Roberts gave Ayr a 36th-minute lead when he latched onto a Willie Easton pass and fired past goalkeeper Steve Robertson from 12 yards.
Alloa netted a 75th minute penalty when Michael Dunlop was hacked down by Ebbie Malone inside the box, Kevin McDonald stepped up and confidently converting.
However, Alloa's John Grant sent the ball past his own keeper in the 83rd minute to give Ayr the points.
