Match Report

A goal in each half from Gerrard McLauchlan and Craig Molloy secured a away win for Brechin over Ayr.

McLauchlan opened the scoring after just seven minutes with a close-range finish from Neil Janczyk's cross.

United's Gary Arbuckle had a first-half header turned around the post by City goalkeeper David Scott.

Five minutes from the end Molloy, who had had an earlier shot saved by home goalkeeper David Crawford, slotted into the bottom corner.
