ichael Moffat netted twice for Ayr as they won at Arbroath.

He fired home after four minutes and Ayr doubled their lead in 17 minutes when Michael Donald swept the ball past Arbroath goalkeeper Scott Morrison.

United made it 3-0 in the 29th minute when Moffat rounded Morrison and tucked away his 20th goal of the season.

The hosts pulled one back when Robert Linn beat Ayr goalkeeper David Hutton and Leighton McIntosh nodded in their second in the 79th minute.
