Match Report

Alan Trouten's first-half goal ensured Ayr remain top of Scottish League One after a hard-fought win at Somerset Park.

The Honest Men took the lead on the half-hour mark after midfielder Trouten fired into the top corner after being teed up by Nicky Devlin.

Alan Forrest should have doubled their lead in the second-half but his tame effort failed to hit the target.

United saw the game out to extend their unbeaten run to 13 league matches.
