Match Report
Ross Caldwell scored the only goal as Ayr United beat 10-man Stenhousemuir to maintain the pressure on Dunfermline at the top of Scottish League One.
Caldwell curled a right-footed strike into the bottom left-hand corner of Jamie Barclay's goal.
Barclay then kept out Nicky Devlin and Brian Gilmour as Ayr pushed for a second before the break.
Stenny's Colin McMenamin missed a penalty before the hosts' Jon Robertson was sent off for violent conduct.
