Match Report
Ayr continued their impressive start to the season with a hard fought victory at Victoria park. Ayr got off to a flying start with Stuart Boyd scoring from short range after a free kick found Chris Robertson at the edge of the box who found the on rushing Boyd with a well placed knock down. County got back on level terms after an attempted challenge by Martyn Campbell ended up in his own net. Fortuatley for Ayr County too were guilty of a defensive error and a sliced Fergus Tiernan clearance fell to Jerome Varielle who finsihed well from a tight angle. The second half stayed goaless the best effort coming from a Dougie Ramsay half volley from 25 yards that crashed off the corner of the cross bar. The Ayr players defended in numbers and played out the rest of the match restricting county to a handfull of half chances
