Match Report

Berwick lost for the sixth game in a row as Ryan Stevenson's late goal gave The Honest Men a crucial win.

The game was spoiled by a gale force wind, but Stevenson's looping shot five minutes from time edges Ayr further away from the relegation play-off spot.

Berwick lacked attacking firepower but Keegan Ayre had one great effort tipped over by Mark McGeown.

The Borderers still have kept only one clean sheet all season and there was little danger against the visitors.
