Match Report
New Broomfield witnessed a disappointing goalless draw that offered little entertainment.
Airdrie United dominated for long spells but failed to create many opportunities in the first half.
Greame Holmes shot tamely after rounding the keeper, allowing the visiting defence to get back to clear.
The best Ayr had to offer was a Michael Moore overhead kick which found its way straight into Stephen Roberts' arms two minutes before the break.
