Stirling Albion's improved form was too much for Ayr United as they recorded their fourth win in five league games.
An early Stewart Devine corner was headed just wide by Scott Gibb and Martin Grehan's 20-yard drive landed on the roof of United's net.
Stirling went ahead after 55 minutes after John O'Neill laid the ball off to Grehan, who drove home from 16 yards.
Albion captain Ross Forsyth was red-carded for a tackle on Chris Aitken before Ryan McCord netted the winner.
