Match Report
Ayr overcame the sending off of midfielder Ross Docherty to take home a win from Stranraer.
Craig Moore unlocked the home defence with a right-footed drive giving goalkeeper Conor Brennan no chance.
After Docherty was sent off Stranraer hit the woodwork twice, but fell further behind to Alan Trouten's strike.
Stephen Stirling responded from outside the box for Stuart McLaren's men, but there was no time for another chance.
