Match Report
Ayr moved top of group A as a first half goal from Mark McKenzie was enough to see off stuffy Stenny.
Matt Aitken fired an early effort wide for Stenny.
Ayr's Fraser Bryden had a goal chalked off before Franny Amartey's cross was coverted by Mckenzie.
Ben Dempsey and Amartey wasted good chances to kill off Stenny, who hit the post through Nicky Jamieson.
