Dumbarton held off a late surge to win against 10-man Ayr.
The Sons went ahead on the half-hour with a Alan Cook penalty after Ayr's Jonathan Tiffoney was sent off for a tackle on Kieran Brannan.
Patrick Walker's close-range finish extended the lead, but Mark Roberts headed a reply only for Ross Campbell to turn home a cross to make it 3-1.
Andy Rodgers smashed the ball home from a Roberts knock-down in stoppage time, but Dumbarton held on for victory.
