Match Report

Brechin City saw off play-off chasing Ayr United to secure their first win in seven matches, with Robert Thomson and Craig Molloy scoring the goals.

City's bright start was rewarded when Thomson finished from close range.

And Molloy fired into the top corner after the break to give the home side a cushion.

Ayr youngster Alan Forrest beat Brechin keeper Graeme Smith with a left-foot drive to reduce the deficit but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
