Dinamo Bucharest a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest and is one of the two most successful football teams in Romania, having won 18 Romanian Liga I titles, 13 Romanian Cups and 2 Romanian Supercups. They became the first Romanian team to reach the European Champions’ Cup semifinals in 198384.

Founded in 1948, Dinamo has spent its entire history in Liga 1, the top league of Romanian football.

The team’s traditional home colours are white and red. The current crest is a modified version of the one adopted in the 1998. Dinamo Bucharest’s home ground is the 15,032-seater Dinamo Stadium in Bucharest’s city centre, where it has played since 1951.

The club’s biggest rivals are Steau Bucharest and matches between the two teams are commonly referred to as “The Eternal Derby”.

Ayr United met Dinamo in a pre-season friendly at Leigh Sports Stadium on 7th July 2013.

United lined up with Hutton,Hunter,Lithgow,McArthur,Pope,Merenghi,McLaughlin,McGowan,Donald,Malcolm,Moffat and again the ‘keeper kept Ayr in the game early on. However United, playing together for only the second time, showed a little more up front but it was still 0-0 at half time. Ayr looked a little more together in the second half and Craig Malcolm put them 1-0 up in 59 minutes but Bucharest pulled it back 6 minutes later.

However, the match ended in a decent and very credible 1-1 draw.
